Before now, Durabrand televisions were sourced from Orion Electric (a Japanese consumer electronics company headquartered in Osaka, Japan) that also manufactured TVs for Toshiba, Hitachi, JVC and Emerson.
Now, Durabrand televisions are sourced from Funai Electric (a Japanese consumer electronics company that was established in 1958 also in Osaka, Japan).
In addition, Funai Electric is the main supplier of electronics to Walmart in the US and also supply Philips, Magnavox, and Sanyo through its United States-based subsidiary Funai Corporation Inc.
Finally, Element Electronics Company handles all warranty repairs for Walmart’s Onn TVs.

Good warranty services: Although Walmart’s Onn TVs are made by Durabrand, the warranty repairs are handled Element Electronics Company. Most products come with one-year warranty period with the option to get an extended warranty through product registration within 90 days of the original purchase date.
The warranty also comes with an in-home service which includes an Element authorized service provider repairing the TV your home (the original customer) or taking the product for repairs at an Element authorized service provider and returning to your home. Warranty repairs doesn’t get more convenient than that.
In addition, since they are mostly available in physical Walmart stores and online stores (also being the parent company), you can easily return them should you have any issue with it after purchase.
Cons
Average Quality: Although the sound and picture quality are good, they cannot be compared to the quality you get from higher-end TV brands. However, if you just want to watch TV and stream contents with a decent picture and sound, this won’t be a big deal.
Average-Low Performance: The biggest turn-off when it comes to Onn TVs is the performance ratings by users. A number of users have complained eventually about one issue or the other, from audio issues like intermittent drop outs to total loss of sound to picture issues like screen flicks and total black screen and Wi-Fi connection issues.

I just purchased an ONN Tv 58″ UHD. Before I purchased it, I was told by the store associate that all TVs do the same thing. I found out this is not true and I am not happy. I cannot directly pair my Direct Tv remote to the ONN Tv. I still need the ONN remote to select Satellite TV to watch Direct TV. I am not happy about this. This is the only TV that I ever had to do this with.
Had I known this, I would have not Purchased the ONN Tv. I have contacted ONN and Direct TV. I still need to have 2 remotes to operate the ONNtv :>(
If there is a resolution, please advise me. Otherwise I am still not happy with ONN and will let people know about this issue.
